Training & Education _ Third Level Grants

Third Level Grants

disabled studentstraining

Disabled students are entitled to third level grants. These higher education grants are for full-time undergraduate ot post-graduate courses in Universities, Institutes of Technology and Colleges of Further Education. They must be one year or more in duration. The rules for these grants are detailed in the website listed below. If approved for a higher education grant, a disabled person can still receive his / her disability payment and all household benefits and travel pass, while also receiving the grant. In addition, the grant covers payment of fees in third level institutions.

In Galway the Higher Education grant is processed by Galway County Council. You can access the forms and the rules for the grants at the following website: http://www.galway.ie/en/Services/Education/
